World Environment day 2018 – Organic Farming in your home

by Rohan Kapur | 19-06-2018 19:56

I love my Mother Earth & celebrating World Environment day is like celebrating her birthday. Each year I plan something special, therefore this year I dedicated to promote Organic Farming in the houses, apartments & villas.

Where there is a will there is a way, this saying is apt for Mr. Sudheesh Guruvayoor. He has many world records to his credit. He recommends all people to grow a little patch of vegetables in their garden. By this act you will have access to fresh organic food and the chances of contamination are reduced. He grows Rice and vegetables in this villa backyard in Sharjah, UAE.

Early this year in January, he invited 69 special need kids to his private farm to plant rice seedlings. It was a memorable experience to those kids. They felt close to the nature. Mr. Sudheesh is carrying out this activity for many years. His care for environment is commendable.

This World Environment day 2018 he has planned another event to distribute organic curry leaf saplings to the students of a school in Sharjah. The curry leaves were grown in Sudheesh's organic garden in Sharjah, and branches were cut from the main tree and placed in small cups as saplings. The students have been encouraged to grow them, and the best curry leaf plant at the end of three months will be given a prize. This time he succeeded in distributing as many as 4,916 saplings and this has earned him a Guinness World Record.

I had the privilege to be a part of this eco-friendly noble cause and I felt great to connect with cause. By the way I am growing organic plants in the balcony of our apartment for past many years & have shared the ambassador report also. The link is provided below:

I appeal to all the readers and fellow ambassadors to grow their own veggies in their respective homes. This will be an apt tribute to the mother earth & a step towards green future. We all can help our bit by our efforts.
