Environmental justice is the fair treatment and
meaningful involvement of all people regardless
of race, color, national origin, or income, with
respect to the development, implementation, and
enforcement of environmental laws, regulations,
and policies.

one of the environmental problem faced in Zambia is deforestation,people cut trees for charcoal production and the poor are blamed for deforestation, I have taken some surveys and asked some of the people who sale charcoal and what I have found out is that they do it for a living, they want to put food on the table so they resort to cutting trees and using them to make charcoal then sale.

the Government has been working hard to seeing to it that deforestation is brought to an end or reduced
