The silent dream

The silent dreams!
Whenever I wandered around Pancha batika with friends during the leisure I always saw this school of silent little kids and was always eager to visit inside.
Finally this time,I could not help myself and On the warm day of May 1st ,At around 10:30 A.m I called the headmaster of the very school introduced myself as Ecogeneration Ambassador of Tunza and also as B.Sc.Agriculture Student at IAAS ,Paklihawa and asked if we could go there.
She was happy with the call and was so ready to welcome us.
Two  of us, Lalit vai and me had planned to visit there.
We filled our Eco generation bags with eco friendly stuffs from Tunza like Eco friendly pencil, scales, note pads, pens and few bags as well.
We started our visit.Reached there in around 30 min.
Few kids were playing out side and they directed us to the kitchen where warden mam was busy cooking Haluwa for them.
All other children were resting in tv room watching television.
They enjoyed watching it though they could only see it but could not hear things.
Almost 100 children from all over Nepal were admitted in the school of differentially able from trade 1 to grade 12.
All of them had the only similarity that they could see but could not speak.
They all had varied dreams.
I had previously conducted similar awareness session in many schools but this time It was not easy because of lack of similarity in the expression of the language we understood. We were helpless. We had no idea how to react.
We asked one of them to turn off the television but they were so enjoying it that they gave a very angry look to the one turning it off.
We ran back to warden mam and requested her to translate our message to the kids but she had lots of works remaining and she also did not understand every thing we wished to convey. So this time we discovered a new idea.We picked up a student of grade 10,then we wrote our name and messages on after another in the note pad and he readily translated that to the mass.To our surprise he understood everything we wrote. The other part of mass got that well and right.
This proves that they are not disabled but differentially able.
We also requested them to plant flowers and vegetables in the hostel premises, water them and dispose the wastes in the dust bin. They agreed with it.We also asked them not trouble warden mam and this time they laughed out a loud. 😃
At the end we distributed each one of them with pen, pencils and notepads. They were more than happy. And warden mam she was telling them to keep that and not use that because  that was a gift.
That remark of warden mam was precious.
We also gifted warden mam with Eco-friendly bag.
They translator vai, He wrote few lines on behalf of the mass in Nepali when I had already written I was almost done with the message from our side which read like this? We all thank you for your presence and gifts, keep coming here!?
The visit was very pleasant .we found happiness there away from all chaos and noses of daily life.
We wrapped up the visit with the group photograph which was captured by the same translator vai after he was taught how to operate the camera.
Then they bid us a goodbye and we waved bye with a promise to visit them again.
Though we tried our best to deliver the message we got difficulty. But this taught us a new lesson and made us wise so for next time we visit such places we will be there with charts and poster to effectively deliver the purpose.
We always delivered awareness in the world which could beautifully paint their dreams and express it but this part of world of silent dreams which are part of our mother earth also need environmental awareness to lead a healthy life.
They must be taught of their health and environmental issues.
The most beautiful things on the planet are unheard and unspoken like their dreams .
We can?t change the world but our small effort can make à great difference.
So let?s act locally with what we have and where we are.
