![]() It would sound like a fable or just another fantasy for a next century generation hearing that in Rwanda there was a wild dog or a black rhinoceros. Rwanda is a small country with a remarkable variety of ecosystems of flora and fauna. It is located at the heart of the Albertine Rift eco-region in the western arm of the Africa?s Rift Valley is a contributory factor. This region is one of Africa?s most biologically diverse regions. Rwanda is one of the top birding countries with 670 different birds having been recorded. Four of species of birds in Rwanda are threatened with extinction:
the country also host endangered plant species.
