Celebrating Childrens Day | Bringing Environmental Awareness

Hello Ambassadors & Tunza Eco-generation!

After a short hiatus, dealing with extreme academic work, in this short report I?d take the opportunity to let you inform about a recent event which I?ve conducted. On the auspicious occasion of birth anniversary of independent India's first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru, we embarked upon a different path and pulled it out a successful event on far remote village of West Bengal, India. Jawaharlal Nehru, who has been widely and popularly known as 'Chacha Nehru' had always the love for kids and a futuristic vision for the development of children belonging to every strata of the society. His birthday is widely celebrated as the National Childrens' Day in India on November 14th. To commemorate this auspicious event, taking a hectic schedule day off, I and with few of my friends went ahead and celebrated the great day of children by distributing special gifts to the school pupils. Special thanks to our very own ?Tunza Eco-Generation? for providing with amazing materials which ranged from rulers, post-it, pamphlets, pencils to environmental awareness CDs. It was indeed a great day for us because we felt of contributing something to the upliftment of the school children who in true sense is actually lacking behind getting quality education. The event comprised of playing games, quizzes and bringing awareness among the children about the much needed Millennium Development Goals in the smallest possible meaningful and playful way with high spirits, that they can understand on how children can bring a change in the society by working at the grass roots at their capacity best and be the powerful agents of change. The quality CD materials covering the basics of environmental sciences have played an amazing and creative role. We found happiness and the three-hour event has been a successful one. And yes the best part is that: they loved it. We felt blessed to bring upon smiles on their innocent faces. We wish them a glittering future.
