Yes! Over 520.000 people from Europe and all around the world and many environmental organizations participated through #NATUREALERT to the public consultation of the EU to change the directives regarding environmental protection.

On Monday morning 27.7.2015, 520.325 environmentally aware people and 120 pro-environmental NGOs sent the message that ?environmental bureaucracy? should not be changed to the direction that compromises the protection of the environment.

I am more than happy to say that between these 520.325 signatures there are our signatures from the TUNZA community.
It is really exciting that TUNZA Eco Generation gave to my proposal the necessary publicity and many from Eco Generation community responded with their signatures and gave a hand to protect Mother Earth.

According to WWF, the environmental laws in the EU protect over 1000 key species and more than 27.000 areas of special natural beauty in Europe. Indeed they have blocked from extinction some species that are native to Europe, such as the grey wolf, the white-tailed eagle and the common seal.

On behalf of the coalition # NATUREALERT, the director of WWF Europe said: "At the time when the EU is severely tested, the overwhelming support from all corners and continents for Europe's Nature laws demonstrates that people can get together and defend what really matters to them".

I think that something important that we share in TUNZA is the notion that the only viable option for human civilization is the development in harmony with nature. This message was sent through this action to all Europe and the entire world.

The official analysis of the consultation will be published in autumn 2015, and the final decision on the future of the directives is expected by June 2016.
