EVENTS IN 2017 THAT SHOULD BE PAID MORE ATTENTION |

Environmentally waste management Control discharge of wastes in water and other uncontrolled places. Involves international community to support the transfer of knowledge and technology for environmentally sound management of waste. Also increase the capacity to control production of goods which leads to non decomposed wastes into the world. Increase battle against poaching activities For example Tanzania is one of the few countries with large number of wildlife resources. For example Tanzania?s Protected land cover over 25% of the total land (Nshala:1999).The protected land is comprised of national parks ,game reserves, game controlled areas, mountain Kilimanjaro and the Ngorongoro area. Inappropriately communities living around those areas engages themselves on poaching activities, in which should totally be eliminated. Avoid shifting cultivation and environmental degradation Agricultural activities around the world contribute significantly (about 70 percent on average) to water-pollutant loads. Contaminated agricultural runoff often includes nitrogen, phosphorus, pesticides, and sediment, which impair both surface (lakes and rivers) and groundwater. There are several ways to reduce the impacts of agriculture on water quality, and scales of intervention from the farm level to the state. The interventions should be put into higher consideration to keep our environment safe in 2017 and future. Air pollution control Air pollution affects respiratory system causing breathing difficulties and diseases such as bronchitis, asthma, lung cancer, tuberculosis and pneumonia. Air Pollution affects the central nervous system causing carbon monoxide poisoning. Air pollution causes depletion of ozone layer due to which ultraviolet radiations can reach the earth and cause skin cancer, damage to eyes and immune system. It causes acid rain which damages crop plants, trees, buildings and metal structures and also makes the soil acidic. All these problems can be stopped only if we are committed not to pollute our air in 2017 and future. Source From problems discussed in my former reports photo source: by me

Good to know about auch events. Others like increasing awareness, developing coping mechanism against climate change, protecting the wetland areas and promoting waste reduction in poor countries should also be enhanced.

Thanks for sharing, Peter! It was very nice to know which events you think we should keep more attention on next year. There are of course a lot of problems that need to be solved, but I guess it is very necessary to settle the order of priority. Have a great day!
