Training children on the importance of cleanliness and conserving a healthy environment

On the 14th of April, 2014, I was in the South Western part of Madagascar, where I trained 17 children from a village called Beheloke about the importance of keeping a clean and healthy environment.

These inhabitants of this region defecate in open air and I thought it is wise to educate the children on how to conserve their environment and make it a better place for them.

It started and 9 am and ended at 1pm.I took them to where most of them had spread fesses and showed them how nasty it was to carry such and activity. I also briefed the children on some toilet cleaning techniques, water treatment and the importance of staying clean all the time.

Two parents participated in the training. At the end of this event some of the children were given Tunza pencils and Rulers for participating actively in the short dialogue.
