Every End Commences New Beginning

10th May was my birthday, I am 25 now. Each birthday passing by reminds me that 'Every End Commences New Beginning'. This birthday, I would like to take the opportunity on reflecting upon my journey with Tunza Eco- Generation before I bid farewell to this global family.

It was back in 2014 when I came to know about Tunza Eco- generation via one of the ex- ambassadors Smirti Pehim Limbu who my senior in university. Seeing her awe- inspiring energy and dedication in environmental campaigns, I used to wonder at that time, how can one get such platform and motivation? 3 years has passed since then and now I receive the same questions and appreciation from many other youths globally. And I guess this is the most invaluable reward Tunza Eco- generation has offered me.

I am so elated to have served as Regional Ambassador for three consecutive terms: 14th, 15th and 16th term respectively. With graduation approaching and international conferences I became so engaged and with a heavy heart I hereby apologize for not being able to complete my 17th term as an Ambassador. Nevertheless, what I earned, learned and shared as a member and Ambassador in these two and half years hold a special meaning in my personal and professional development.

There are numerous treasured moments in this time span which I would like to recall: Receiving email from Mr. Aaditya Singh (Aadi brother) willing to contribute his cash prize to help earthquake victims of my country Nepal, being recognized among the huge mass in COP21 by Mr. Rock Lee (Rocky brother) and his mother and so on. No words can better explain how blessed I felt when people who had never seen me or known me personally came forward, recognized me in the crowd, trusted upon and contributed to aid my country at the dire need of time during earthquake. It was so tough to hold the tears of joy when the participants in my eco- trainings were so willing and competing to take me to their homes, while stakeholders claimed to remember me with the vibrant yellow T- shirt of Tunza Eco- generation I used to put on. Those bonding I made with children, elderly and youths through dozens of environmental campaigns are my strength.

Receiving messages in social media especially facebook from so many youths within and outside Nepal with encouraging words of appreciation and enormous love, sharing their feedback on my reports, seeking leadership advices, asking for tips and tricks to maintain green living and thinking and so on was one of the driving forces for whatever I have accomplished till date. Every time I heard from fellow ambassadors Arushi, Rohan, Anthony, Joshua, Udeh, Prem, Luiz, Jiye, Harmanjot, Nafisul, Manav, Fayshal, Mohit, Dharmendra, Ni Putu and many more I used to feel much more motivated and energized than before to do more and take newer challenges. How can I miss to mention that it was so fun working together with dear brothers and sisters from Nepal: Rahul, Sujan, Alina, Prakriti, Astha, Aabha, Dipa, Rubina, Bharat, Resham and so on for awesome projects like Model United Nations.

Global Youth Eco- Leadership Summit (GYELS) 2015 was one of the rare opportunity I will ever have again, it was when I got to work closely with staffs of Eco- Generation and Korea Green Foundation. GYELS rewarded me with two elder sisters: Erika and Christy whose cordial words are still afresh in my mind. Those delegates and their chaperons of GYELS 2015 will always be in my golden memory. Moreover, being honored as the Best Ambassador of 14th term was a dream come true moment for me.

Often I receive queries, what is the difference between Tunza Eco- Generation and other environmental networks/organizations? My answer used to be: Eco- generation is Genuine and it values your originality the most. You will never need some flowery words or too technical writings to influence the audiences or impress the judges, without a second thought you are free to share what you really feel about the Environment and its dynamics.

Thank you! Thanks a lot dearest Tunza Eco- Generation for being such an amazing platform I have ever came across. Networking has been the asset of this platform and in these two and half years I have realized myself growing better and empowered than I used to be. Though due to my academic and professional shift, I may not be able to visit this platform as often as I used to but I assure that Eco- generation will always be close to my heart.

Thank you everyone (Erika and Christy sisters, Fellow ambassadors, Mentors, Members, Samsung Engineering team and the entire audience) who were together with me in this journey, your love has been an inspiration for me. I would like to express my sincere gratitude for this togetherness.
Well, I will never be short of words while explaining about this journey, but I try to hold my emotions over here for now.

A warm Green Love and Goodbye to you all! But as I mentioned earlier, 'Every End Commences New Beginning'. I wish and look forward to working with many of you in near future. Live and Let Live Green and Healthy.

PS: I am sharing some pictures to reflect my entire journey of Tunza Eco- Generation :)
