Call for Application The 11th Eco-generation Regional Ambassadors During the last 5 years, the Ambassador program has been growing both quantitatively and qualitatively. We express our deep appreciation to those who completed their term successfully, promoted Eco-generation and raised environmental awareness throughout their own regions and the globe. Now, Eco-generation would like to announce the call for application for The 11th Eco-generation Regional Ambassadors. E-gen Regional Ambassador is an elite position awarded to the children and youth qualified to represent Tunza Eco-generation. E-gen Regional Ambassador Program provides exceptional experiences with the opportunities to actively plan to, execute or participate in various environmental awareness programs in each region. As the representatives of Tunza Eco-generation, E-gen Regional Ambassadors must embody the spirit and values of Tunza Eco-generation. E-gen Regional Ambassadors must take on various roles to promote and raise environmental awareness for each region they are representing. The Ambassadors would carry the voice of the universe at international level. Since your friends will gain their first impression of Tunza Eco-generation through E-gen Ambassadors, E-gen Ambassadors are also expected to be knowledgeable on current environmental issues and any information required representing Tunza Eco-generation as well. Application details are as follows: Application details 1. Eligibility - All Tunza Eco-generation members aged between 13 and 24 who are enthusiastic to spread news about the local environmental issues at a global level. 2. Term - The 11th E-gen Regional Ambassadors shall be in position for the next 6 months from September 2013 to February 2014. 3. Criteria for the selection - Application : 50 % & Points : 50 %, Total 100% - Well-organized 6 months coverage plan and activity points will be appreciated with the same weight. - To get information on the Point System, please visit the link : here 4. Duties - Ambassadors shall post a Self Introduction in 'Eco-generation Ambassadors Forum' - Ambassadors shall post more than 2 environmental articles on their region each month, totaled minimum of 12 articles during 6 months. - The article posting should be regularly or it can cause disadvantage points in the extension of term of Ambassador. - Ambassadors shall try to leave a comment after reading other's articles in both Ambassador Report and World Report as often as possible so that you can exchange the ideas on each other's regional environmental issues and campaigns. - Ambassadors shall check their emails as often as possible for responding Tunza Eco-generation's communication in time. 5. Benefits - Improvement of environmental leadership - Non financial supports such as business cards and Tunza Eco-generation?s Promotional goods including banners, brochures and other school things to support Ambassadors' environmental campaigns - Certificate to verify successful completion of one's term - Reference letters except for the college/university admissions available based on the successful completion of the first 3 months - Priority to get involved in the various off-line events of Tunza Eco-generation - Ambassadors' article which earned the most comments, facebook likes and tweets will be published on Tunza Eco-generation Monthly Newsletter as the best article of the month - The One Best Ambassador who showed the most passionate and active environmental activities will be awarded with a certificate and souvenir at the end of the term. 6. How to apply - Please use the application page on top of this page or click here - When you apply, application form should include a mobile number, twitter(optional) and facebook(mandatory) account and the region or country where you want to represent to. - Please upload your profile picture at Tunza Eco-generation before you apply. You can upload your photo at ?changing personal information? - If any of mandatory items is missing, the application will not be accepted. - If you have reference files (pdf and MS office format only), please attach them using reference button on the bottom of the application form. - Basically, 1(one) Ambassador shall be selected for each region and country. However, if applicants in one region or country have distinctive environmental experiences or 6 months coverage plans, multiple ambassadors can be selected. - If there are submission errors, please email the application format to ecogeneration@samsung.com 7. Extension of Ambassador's term - Any current Ambassador who wants to extend his or her term should apply in the same way again by submitting the coverage plan and reference materials through the application page. - Current Ambassadors who met the mandatory duties can automatically extend their term by submitting new application with 6 months coverage plan during the same period without age limit. - Current Ambassadors who have failed to complete their duty as E-gen Regional Ambassador shall be regarded as new applicants. 8. Deadline - Deadline for application is August 25, 2013. 9. Result Announcement - Announcement will be made by August 28th, 2013 via Tunza Eco-generation website. FAQ 1. What kind of duties an Eco-generation Regional Ambassador takes? - Raising awareness of the environment and promoting Tunza Eco-generation in each region. - Posting more than 2 articles about local environmental issues each month, totaled 12 articles for the 6 months - Providing assistance and participate in actively during international events - leaving a comment on each other's article 2. Are there other qualifications for Eco-generation Regional Ambassadors? - A member of Tunza Eco-generation(https://tunza.eco-generation.org) - Active participation in Tunza Eco-generation programs - Environmentally friendly mind - Internet-friendly environment - aged between 13 ~ 24

Are there anything an Eco-generation Regional Ambassador should be cautious regarding posting articles? - Eco-generation will not allow any article largely copied from other sources. - Eco-generation can delete any article which violates intellectual property right. - An Ambassador should upload article regularly. (At least 2 articles per a month) - An article should contain more than 4 paragraphs or it won?t be regarded as an Ambassador article. 4. I failed to upload files to the Application form. What?s the reason? - Please be noted that name of the files to be uploaded to the application form MUST NOT include any special characters or spaces. - The maximum size for profile picture is 1 MB, for reference file is 10 MB. - PDF or word file causes less error.
5. How can an Ambassador get a Reference Letter? - Under any circumstances, TUNZA Eco-generation doesn?t provide any form of letters for college or university admission. - A reference letter can be issued only for ambassadors who has completed the first 3 months successfully. (Minimum 6 articles uploaded) - Form and details for a recommendation letter should be provided by the applicant. 6. How can an Ambassador get extra promotional goods for a campaign? - After the announcement of 10th E-gen Regional Ambassadors, Request form will be sent via E-mail. Every detail should be filled up including purpose, contents, schedule, item & number of goods needed. - Any promotional goods can be provided only to ambassadors uploading articles on schedule. - Considering differences in postal services and adjustment process between an Ambassador and Eco-generation team, a request form must be submitted at least 3 weeks before the event. - There are countries which up to 2kg of promotional goods can be sent.
7. What should I do if I can't upload 2 articles for a month? - There can be Ambassadors who cannot upload 2 articles a month in special month due to exams or other important events. Ambassadors who are in the situation as above can send an E-mail explaining the situation and will be given the chance to catch up the uploading schedule after the month. - If absent period is too long (more than 2 months in a row), there can be disadvantage point for extension of Ambassador term. Was really waiting for the announcement. Was a bit sad that the date had changed. But I am sure, that the waiting is for the best. All the best to the ambassadors and also to the ambassadors who have completed their term! Lets hope to the best ever set of ambassadors! :)
