[Themed Report] Review as the 22nd Ambassador Term Concludes :D |

Good day everyone! I am so grateful to have this opportunity the reflect on the six months Tunza Eco-Generation has given me as an ambassador. My journey started in February 2018 when I was awarded to be an ambassador for Tunza for the 20th term this led me through a roller coaster of a learning curve I got the chance to meet so many other people who are just as like-minded in solving and interacting with one another about sustainable development, global warming, climate change, youth advocacy, environmental advocacy and environmental Justice. I got the opportunity to also create campaigns that reflected on water conservation environmental awareness, and the awareness of Tunza Eco-Generation upon many South Africans who had yet to know that such an engaged for platform existed.   I have always been taught that water is life. Without it our bodies can't function our trees can't grow and essentially earth would be at a standstill. To this day I through Tunza Eco-Generation approached my fellow youths and children and made them aware, not only to conserve what they do have, but to make other people aware of what precious commodity they have in terms of water. In the 23rd term of being an ambassador I decided to look to campaigns that can teach children and youth about recycling, groundwater awareness and also climate change. I got the amazing opportunity to teach children from an NGO organisation called the Regen Agency.    There has been such outstanding and environmentally conscious throughout all the activities we have done together. What most fulfilling about my experiences with them is that I got the chance to invite them to apply as being members of the platform as well so that they can express their work on the platform just like all my fellow members are doing now. The reports and themes related to this term were very insightful. It opened up so many avenues of discussions between Ambassadors and I was really intrigued and excited to always read what an ambassador would post. I have been blessed with acquainting a number of friends on the platform. They have been so supportive engaging, caring and sincere throughout their terms as Ambassadors and I would like to take this time to honour each and every single one of them. Whether it is from my African continent with the likes of Zambia, Nigeria, South Africa, Ghana, Benin and Morocco. To International countries like Uzbekistan, Indonesia, India, Nepal, the US, Brazil, Mexico, China, Taiwan, Korea, the United Kingdom, the UAE, Russia and many more. I'd like to thank you all for being so sincere in every interaction you've had with me and with everyone else on the group.   To my mentors I'd like to give you thanks for your constructive mentoring and feedback. You have molded and shaped me to be a sensitive yet diligent reporter and I would like to take this time to honour you as well thank you mentor Louis and mentor Wonhee for being there and being diligent in commenting to each and every single ambassador. Continue with the perseverance that you have put in the other six months into the future months to come.   And lastly to Eco-Generation, I would like to say thank you for the opportunity to serve my country again. The opportunity to serve as ambassador comes with a lot of responsibility and time-sacrifice and I'm grateful for the time, space and energy you've given us to express and advocate for our environment and our youth the way we have done for this entire term.   I really cannot thank everyone on this platform enough for everything that they've put into their own writing and even in my reports as comments. Each and every single comment, and gesture of kind words does go a long way and I sincerely mean that. To the entire members of Eco-Generation, I say... Take a Bow :D |
