Ever since I¡¯ve been a part of Tunza Eco-generation, my journey has been enriching, empowering and educative. This networking platform has always engaged in prompting people to think about environmental issues. The kind of exposure and interactions I¡¯ve had through Tunza Eco-generation have been essential in educating me about the world.
And what is better than being given a platform that allows me to raise issues that I feel are to be communicated. Through the Eco-generation ambassador program, I have been encouraged to research and educate myself about the necessary environmental concerns of my country India. So far I have written about vital issues regarding climate change, air pollution, sustainable development, water crisis, solid waste management, biodiversity and carbon emissions. This not only helps me to express my viewpoints but also engage in knowing what others have to say about a certain issue. My report on solid waste management garnered the a lot of attention from the members of Tunza eco-generation, making me realise that it is so important that we discuss the issue in every country on a larger scale. Through the ambassador program, I got the opportunity to discuss about social, environmental and economic aspects of sustainable development and India¡¯s water crisis. As a student of economics, I¡¯ve tried to incorporate economic aspects and economical potential lost due to environmental damages in my reports. My aim through my ambassador reports is to present different aspects of a relevant environmental issues so that we can ignite the minds of the youth of every country to think about resolving these problems. Some of the most interesting topics that I have been persuaded to write on are review of an environment related book and this short review on my experience as a regional ambassador. The ambassador program has not only pushed me to gain a worldly view and attain knowledge, but also helped me sharpen my writing skills. Additionally, getting feedback from the ambassadors of other country is always enriching and widens your horizon thoroughly about vital issues.
Back in school, I was the President of my schools¡¯ environment club, so I was regularly motivated to do something for the environment and persuade other young students to do the same. Now in college, the Eco-generation Ambassador program fills in that void in my life. It has given me the platform to communicate with youth of many countries about various issues of my country. I can persuade people through the responsibility as an ambassador to initiate in activities and inform them about what is the need of the hour in my country. The past six months have been the most wholesome in terms of educating myself for a better world, and all because of the regional ambassador program.
It is also inspiring to see various other ambassadors of other countries engage in workshops and campaigns regarding environmental concerns. Their work is indeed inspiring and motivates me to initiate in such activities in the near future. They have fully utilised their responsibility as a Regional ambassador and inspire me to do the same.
Lastly, I would take this opportunity to thank Tunza Eco-generation to think of me as worthy of the responsibility of the Regional Ambassador for India. I am thankful that I have been a recipient of this opportunity and would love to do more justice to this position in the near future. We all are here because of the same motive, that is to protect our environment and raise awareness in our own ways. And hence, I encourage all members to engage thoroughly in the activities introduced by Tunza Eco-generation so that we can achieve our goals and spread awareness to our maximum potential as the youth. |

Hello Ishitwa
Congratulations on your work as 22nd regional ambassador. I'm glad to hear that you have learnt a lot of things from writing your own reports. Also, it's amazing that you tried to incorporate economic aspects and economic protentional lost due to environmental damages, which is one of the most effective way to promote sustainable development. It was a great pleasure to work with you!
