Plastics have almost taken over our lives. Manufacture of plastics, such as bottle, cellophane, fork, knife, is often harmful both to human health and to nature. New information about the damage of plastics releases every day. Tamara Galloyway, professor of ecotoxicology at the Exeter University, said in a report published in the English Daily Mail: "Many people do not know that there are so many plastic particles in the air." Bisphenol (BPA) in plastic containers is known to increase heart disease. It is claimed that this compound is forbidden in the manufacture of bottles and also cookware. Additionally, plastic cups are among the truths that are known to increase the risk of cancer in persons who have been drinking hot fluids for a long time. In this regard, it is very dangerous to freeze and heat any liquids in the plastic mass. It takes about 450 years for plastic mass dissolve in nature. Plastic bottles generate more than 120 million tonnes of waste every year. Each year, at least 1 million sea birds, 100,000 marine mammals and sea turtle are perished due to plastic pollution. The current amount of plastic waste in the seas is estimated at 150 million tons. According to these numbers, it is possible to say that the plastic mass that can fill a garbage truck is thrown into seas every second. More than half of the 500 billion plastic bottles manufactured during the year are dispatched to the environment after one-time use. The worst part of the situation is the fact that the plastic we throw into nature is like a boomerang, with fish coming back to our plate at dinner. |

Hello Mehri!
Thank you for bringing up this important issue, plastics. I really like how you explained plastics come back to humans like a boomerang. Plastics take hundreds of years to decompse so they are accumulated somewhere in our nature. I am sure that they will end up in our human body. Thank you for sharing your report and keep up the good work!

Hello mehri
It??s true now plastics has become one of the most essential components. I wonder the period where people weren??t aware about plastics and now life is difficult without plastics.
But we must control these excessive use of plastics.
Thank you so much for this report.

Hey there Mehri!
It's unfortunate but true. We have far surpassed the need for plastic. Moreover, we have now not only shown that we are incapable of cleaning up after ourselves, but also, that we are nonchalant about our health and that of our Earth.
I really think it will be a problem for many people to change from using plastic objects such as lunch boxes and bottles, especially when it comes to heating and cooling. But this report should make them realise that they is something bigger at stake, our health and that of the Earth.
Thank you for reporting Mehri, I loved this report...it was such an eye opener
Warm regards,
Rosa
