Any change is big. The smallest ripple on the water ends with a big circle. I believe any change, even the most insignificant ones, are valuable as much as others. A change is not about what it is but it is about what it can become. Who knows that the trash that I have just thrown away might be used as an art piece for someone in a near future. This is why what I did to change the Earth is different from what people would normally do.

I would like to start with the one that I did a five years ago. My friends and I loved animals so much but could not adopt one. The only solution that came to our young minds was to design a robotic one. We started working on our project with the idea of a robotic cat. Since we were all concerned about the environment, we decided to make the cat with recycled materials. As we were making prototypes of our cat, we started collecting trash that may be useful in the robot. For example, after drinking from a juice box or a can we washed and store it somewhere at home instead of throwing it away. We used this method for other types of trash as well and we spent a whole year doing that.

We could not finish our robotic cat at the end. It was a little bit too hard for us to do all the mechanics. However it did inspire us to do other up-cycling projects. Our movement to store useful trash spread out to our friends and they also stored their trash as well. When we were doing art projects, most of us would bring trash from home to make art out of it. Even though our robotic cat wasn¡¯t a success, it did make a change among our community and we now have a trend called ¡®store your useful trash¡¯

Hi Jeewon,
I concur, a small ripple, can turn into waves. I am very intrigued to know of the change you had set five years ago.
I will be waiting for it in your next report okay!
