With the increase in the technology, knowledge and development, traditional ways have been already been replaced by the new ways. I always try to find new of motivating children and youths to engage in Environment Protection and Eco Activities. Eco Quiz, Eco Voice, Online Video Awareness, Small Act Great Impact, With Farmers, Eco Club Formation are the different new ideas I have tried to aware to people in this ambassador term and I feel glad to be successful in all those campaign with love and supports of you all.

 

I feel that Model United Nation is a new medium of empowering and enhancing the skill of student. I will be focusing on how are model united nation related to environment and my new school campaign in this report.

 

Model United Nations (MUN) is a replication of the United Nations Conference. It is a collaborative platform, which opens an intellectual space for youth to debate and discuss on eminent global issues. The youths and children become the delegates of their assigned country and research on the given topic and present the views representing their assigned country. The delegates participating in the conference come together with the vision of contributing to the resolution of different issues through dialogue, debate and discussions.

 

United Nation Environment Program (UNEP) where the global environmental issues will be discussed and the participants will discuss, share their ideas, negotiate and come to final conclusion called Draft Resolution which will consist of the previous laws and agreement of the topic and possible solutions of the global issues which can will voted by the majority to be enacted upon.

 

How Model United Nations are related to Environment??

 

The Global Environmental Agenda are discussed in the model united nation and final draft resolution is presented with the majority which consists of the solutions to the problems.

 

All the delegate of the MUN must do proper research on the environment policy and laws of the nation which makes them more concerned and awared about the global environment situation.

 

It enhances the creativity, skills and knowledge which enables them to more active and enthusiastic environmentally.

 

 

My Campaign

 

With the Aim to Promote Tunza EcoGeneration and Aware youth and Children about MUN and Environment, I as Regional Ambassador of Nepal am conducting Model United Nation Workshop to the students and I am support by the members of Youth Thinkers’ Society Lamjung during my campaign.. As I had talked with the Mayor of Besisahar Municipality about the campaign, They were also ready to support us during this campaign.

 

The activities I am be doing during this campaign are

1.     Introduce about Model United Nations and Rule of Procedures

2.     Explain how MUN and Environmental Awareness are corelated

3.     Make them discuss on the global environmental issues

4.     Make them engage in Eco Activites

5.     Award them with Tunza Gifts to motivate them towards Environment Activities

6.     Promote elite Platform of Tunza EcoGeneration among youths and children and motivate them to join and engage in it.

 

I have already conducted Model United Nation to two schools of Lamjung and I will be conducting this workshop on further many more schools to empower and educate childrens. I will be writing a further report on how I conducted the program after I  successfully conduct  my one more  planned  workshop on 2ndweek of February and I am also in talk with other schools to conduct the program.
