Have we ever that how important are bacteria are to us. What will happen to our planet Earth in their absence? Bacteria are tiny, single-celled microbes that help all life exist. They have a very simple structure with no nucleus, a structure that protects the DNA in more complex cells. Bacteria range from helpful organisms that break down dead material and provide food for ecosystems to pathogenic bacteria that can cause disease. The majority of bacteria are good, and without them, life on Earth wouldn't be possible. Bacteria help degrade dead animals and plants and bring valuable nutrients back to Earth. Some species also help clean harmful pollutants out of the environment in a process called bioremediation. To help clean up the disaster, scientists used microorganisms that converted the hazardous oil into less toxic compounds which happens when microbes like bacteria and fungi break down complex pollutants into simpler substances to gain energy and nutrients. Uses Of Bacteria: Food processing Biotechnology Genetic engineering Fibre retting Digestion Pest control I would to congratulate all the our mentors, fellow ambasaadors, ecogeneration members and the eco gen team as we have set up the theme of year 2019. It is Children and youth can bring us a sustainable future together. I am glad that I too contributed to create the theme of the year. I hope we work together to achieve the theme of the year. My awareness campaign has been able to integrate both youth and children bringing up the small acts done by them to create a sustainable future together. A school child of class 10 Rekha Wagle from Motherland Secondary School, Pokhara Participated in the campaign by sending a poem on Bacteria about how this small creature has bigger impact on the environment. You've been since the beginning of evolution of life Played the significant role to make the world bright People can't see you by their naked eyes Your presence is felt enough though Made earth a living place This cenozoic era is your grace All the dead flora and fauna are decayed Finally, the perfect nature is designed You caused millions to perish, billions to realise All these contributions made you rise Many evolved, flourished and devolved But you are still present being alive Bacteria ruled the life, dominated the death Environment consists your small act However it has bigger impact Yes it has great impact in depth Together we can create a sustainable future. Lets all act now. We do have so amazing monthly event of February where we can set our environmental resolutions for 2019. I am surely participating. I do encourage all fellow ambassadors and Eco Generation members too participate in this event. Green Cheers 😊 |

Hello Kushal, just like small organic materials started to get bigger and evolve into different species, bacteria itself still plays crucial role in our daily living and environment around us. Though some of them are really dangerous and kill human beings, not all of them do the same to us :)
Likewise, the voice you made in your report will affect the ones who can make up sustainable future in better ways though they do play small roles in society, and we can help them or pay attention to them to do better off!
Finding out new human resources is also an important for us to bring sustainable society and implement into real one :)
Thanks for your report!

I am Lokol Ceasar from Uganda congratulating you upon that courageous move. Yes,we are usually aware of the pathogenic effect of most microorganisms but are far blind to their positive impact on the day to day physiological mechanisms that support life. Sensitization and awareness creation are a good way to go in involving the community and mobilizing for planned action. Go right ahead, procure as more knowledge as you can in that area then rally people on informed grounds to create the change. So proud of what you doing there!
