I was walking in Bhairahawa City near my college I saw numbers of crows gathered together to collect plastic, Many of them were trying to carry plastic, some of them were successful and other were not, I was with my camera that time so I decided to take pictures, In many attempt I finally got a shot I wanted. This plastic is a wrapper of noodles which is one of the best dry food in Nepal and can be eaten without processing. It is very easy to throw wrappers of noodles, biscuits and chocolate but what are its consequences ?? This crow picture carry heavy message, this is eat plastic or its chick will eat. Plastic cannot be digested nor give nutrition to birds, it will full the stomach and bird will be deprive of essential amino acid and carbohydrates and minerals, it will lead to death of birds. It is just example of bird, there are many species like turtle, whale and marine species which are highly affected by plastic pollution. It is now time to take action, we must change ourselves at first and become leaders in community to educate about plastic pollution. I hope all other Ambassador will also contribute to beat plastic pollution in their communities. "Our hunger is diminishing their hunger" Plastic cannot be digested, it leads to death of many birds, animals and marine species "Beat Plastic Pollution" "Together We Can" |

Hello Deepak, crows tend to collect fancy stuffs and shiny materials as they are interested in taking them to their nest or home. I think that's why they are used to take such 'fancy waste' and react to it more than other birds. But apart from crows' tendencies and habits, it is common problem for other birds and animals as we already know that many used to die after digesting plastic waste as they misunderstand it as their prey or digestive material to be.
As it happens, 'Beat Plastic Pollution' is not only our task but also the task to save other animals around us :)
Thanks for your effort and taking a close shot of crow taking plastic waste on the road, it must have taken quite a lot of time and effort for you since they used to fly away when we get closer to them :)

Hello Deepak
Plastic is used in every part of our life, the wrappers, the cups, the straws and so on.
And as much as these plastics exist near us, it is also easy to throw away plastics on streets.
When these plastics get free on streets, animals, as shown in the report, are misled and eats plastic and this is a serious problem.
Let's keep our streets clean and safe from plastics!
Thanks for taking the time to take this picture and share meaningful messages with us through the report :)
