Where do you through the wastes from your kitchen that can be decomposed? Do you know Garbage can be converted into Garden?
The things you are throwing as waste are valuable material for the soil. You can turn the decaying materials into compost and use them in the agriculture gardening. You can also use the compost for home gardening, flowers in the pot or garden even in the urban areas. We must manage our waste properly and turn them into compost. This is the process of recycling wastes. It is the process of converting Garbage into Garden. Composting is a process of allowing organic materials to decompose more or less controlled conditions to produce stabilized product that can be used as a manure or soil amendment. Composting is basically a microbial process, which change the property of the organic material or mixtures. Compost is the material resulting from the decomposition of plant residues under the action of bacteria and fungi. Composting is simply an acceleration of natural process or organic matter mineralization. The final product is dark brown in colour and resembles FYM in its properties and appearance. Benefits of composting: ∗ Enables clean environment ∗ Absorbs odors, degrade toxic substances and heavy metals ∗ Avoids un-necessary dumping of wastes ∗ Supply valuable organic manure Different composting techniques 1. Crop residue composting 2. Vermi-composting Vermicomposting is a process of degradation of organic wastes by earthworms. 3. Coirpith composting Coirpith is an agricultural waste produced from the coir industry. |

Hello Kushal, basically it is what we need to do and make it as our habit but we are not all used to it :(
However, introducing such simple notions and means we need to adapt can remind us of what we have forgotten!

recycling of kitchen waste is the one of the best way of recycle, it will help to make soil and clean environment. Vermicompost can be very intelligent way of recycling kitchen waste.

I rememeber learning about composting as a child through a story telling and was quite fascinated to know how such organic wastes could turn into something useful.
However I didn't know that there were so many different methods to do it!
