“CARBON” is a science fiction movie by Maitrey Bajpai and Ramiz Ilham khan. For me, it is the thought provoking movie since in it the alarming scenario has been shown in which the dearth of oxygen is discussed. The movie starts with quiet a unique way where Random a character shared his life tragedy that he lost his heart in his childhood which was replaced with artificial heart. In order to explain the cause of his artificial heart he in a sarcastic way said not just he but 43% of the children lost the heart and this was merely just because of pollution as carbon became widespread.

In this movie future of 2067 has been shown where a guy Random shared that his mother used to say of 2017 that EARTH was a greener planet but now in 2067 it has become polluted through carbon.

Interesting thing about movie is that they have shown the importance of need of oxygen in a way that human being will ultimately take care of the environment. They have shown that people in 2067 are wearing masks and without this the survival is not possible. Since Random was a guy who already lost a heart and was surviving on artificial one. So he was called on by an oxygen mafia boss to do smuggling of two oxygen of bottle on the planet Mars since there is SHAH- a billionaire guy who is offering a good sum. He put his life on stake for millions and done an accord with Mafia boss. As he reached their deal broke and Random killed shah. He was in a place where curfew was to take place in evening and all this was just because of a glass of water. So eventually he discovered a girl who was kidnapped by shah they had an interaction but unfortunately as they were in 2067 so Random saw battery life of girl is going down and he got upset that this girl whom he had fall in love is none other than robot. So he went on to say that we have destroyed this world.

The conclusion of the movie is basically that we have destroyed naturalness of the world at a level that even the people whom we considers human beings are actually robots. Technological enhancement is getting upgraded at an accelerated level but due to this progressive path we have eventually lost the most basic necessities of human life such as oxygen, water and now though world has seen lot of technological progress but actually what we miss is basically the most significant elements on which our human lives are based.
