According to an article published on pro Pakistani website ?Carbon emissions have been grown to 123% between 1994 to 2015 ?which is highly an alarming situation since in our country there is no concept of calculating carbon footprints as a result emissions are increasing rapidly. We are in the dire need of economic growth but to achieve a boosting economy we have to build better transport infrastructure along with a profitable energy sector which is facing a situation of crises. In our country, citizens are not aware of the carbon they are emitting hence negative externality in the form of environment pollution is increasing. In terms of economics, we are producing more bads than goods. At the moment there should be strict policies to curtail the emission of greenhouse gases. According to me three policies mentioned below must be put into action immediately: 1) Federal government must give directives to provincial governments to educate citizens of their respective provinces through the series of seminars arranged at all public universities and schools where general population including pupils must be guided to calculate carbon footprints and also create awareness that how detrimental it can be when we would emit carbon excessively 2) Tax must be levied on all those employed citizens who are exceeding the carbon footprint limit 3) Industrialists countrywide must be given orders to mitigate the carbon emission and bring such processes into use that are Eco-friendly. I believe that if above three policies are implemented in my country than we will in long run reap the benefits of green environment. However, to bring in your information Pakistan per capita of greenhouse gases is still one of the lowest in the world but still we are badly affected by climate change. |

@Rosa I second with you but direct instruction would need a medium and I believe educational institutions would be the right place to educate general public.
Thanks.

Hello Hassan, the reason why government and its subsidiary departments are paying different level of attention is usually due to the difference in acknowledging environmental problems. Several departments or projects might be engaged in the same env problem, but when they get to figure it out, each department or sector has different human resources and task management manual, so that may lead to the extension of solution period.
As you are paying quite a lot of attention to the existent system and policies of your country, other people will also recognize these problems as you do, too!
Hope it gets more improved :)

Hello Hassan
You are very right about the problem of awareness raising. The first thing that we need is the right education so that people could self aware themselves of the seriousness of these problem. Afterwards, positive and negative laws can both encourage people in to live beside the rules!
Thanks for the report :)

Hello Hasan! In my opinion, all the rules you proposed are fair and reasonable. I especially liked the idea of the need to educate the public. we really have no idea what kind of damage we do to the environment. Thanks for the report!

Good day Hassan!
It is extremely disturbing to see how much emission of carbon dioxide is in our atmosphere. The need to go green has become a critical issue indeed and more and more people are becoming aware of this fact.
I believe the top down approach can be a feasible option, especially with the way you have decided to put up the policies for your countries. There has to be a direct instruction to the locals of their carbon footprint and there has to be levies set up in order to strictly push citizens and industrialists out of emitting alot of carbon.
Thank you for your report!
