Relation of forest and climate change (For the month of September) |

I think everyone will know how much climate change is happening all over the world by seeing the happened natural disaster and anthropogenic type of disaster. So what we have to consider is what the main driver in changing climate is. If I would say so, deforestation and forest degradation would be the central factor. According to FRA 2010, in Myanmar, the forest cover is totally 46.96% that might be increase than other country but for our country this is much decreasing than early year. Within 5 years starting from 2010 until 2015, the forest percentage was continuously depleting and law enforcement was needed during that time. After next, we have been done designating the rules and regulation for maintaining the left resources. Let?s connect the relationship that driven deforestation and its consequences.
Problem situation
Urbanization, extension of agricultural land & grazing, mining, etc » Deforestation » changing weather pattern, landslide, flooding, GDP Losses, increasing the homeless people. Possible Solution 1. Applying the ethics of climate change (quotation from Robert Mellert) Robert Mellert – Sustainable Ethics — The world does not have an unlimited supply of resources — It is not only for human use; it is to be shared by all life forms — To say that ?There is always more and it?s all ours? is wrong — This belief has led to the notion that the Earth has an unlimited capacity to assimilate pollution. — Humans are not ?apart? from Nature; they are ?a part? of Nature. — The Planet Earth is not a lifeless material object to be used and abused. 2. Valuing our cultural belief and maintaining the resources by it. 3. Enforcing the law and combating the corruption 4. Practicing holistic environmental management system Future aspects and expectation If we obey the above mentioned facts by participating in environment concerned thing, our surrounding environment will be pleasant with many biodiversity and we won?t see regret thing anymore. Development will also going on happen and so conserving the environment should also work together. That?s why EIA and SIA become popular and these assessments are requiring along the processes, before implementing and after it. |

'Applying the ethics of climate change' is a critical matter since still there a lot of people who has a misbelief to the eternal providing from our mother Earth. The Earth could be also said as a large set of resource which can be depleted if we keep on consuming things excessively.

I think that there are a considerable number of people thinking that the Earth is an everlasting resource as a whole that this is completely false.
The points put out in your report are very much in need to be implemented and are very practical.
