Yesterday (5th June, 2018),Zambia joined the rest of the world in commemorating World Environment Day. The theme was; Beat Plastic Pollution for a Clean Green Zambia.I feel this year's theme was so appropriate as plastic waste that take too long to decompose.It has been observed that plastic items can take up to 1000 years to decompose in landfills and this is extremely harmful to the environment.people should be made accountable of their waste so that there is a reduction in the waste that is disposed.We all need to play our part so that we are able to change the future.
