Promotion of Environtelaism in every part of Uzbekistan |

Dear ambassadors,
Today I am back to you with great events, which took part in the West-Uzbekistan. The event dedicated to Earth Day was held in the Jizzakh region. On 1st of May, 8th grade students of the 21st secondary school under the name of Sharof Rashidov, a famous Uzbek writer. A 34 year old English teacher (Zulfiya Haknazarova) was the organizer of the event and I can truly say, she did her best! After seeing her photos of the event in a famous messenger group, I got so interested to know that there are some Uzbek people who care about Earth Day and was very happy when she said that I can post her event on Tunza Eco Generation. They started the event with Michael Jackson?s famous song about Earth! After the wonderful song, they discussed about Earth Day. They discussed how the idea came up and who was the initiator. Different worldwide problems connected with the environment and how most of them can be prevented. Zulfiya Haknazarova shared a video in English and students had hot debates about some themes given there. At the end of the event, a girl named Mahkamova Sabina sang a song about Earth in our Mother language- Uzbek. I believe that such events should be held in every school and study center of Uzbekistan. Environmental protection is a global problem, which should be considered by everyone. Having knowledge about global problems as such will of course be needed in the future. They ended their event and came up with a new tree planting project and I hope I will be able to share details about that upcoming project as well. |

I agree to the point that you've made about schools and other education forces would be great to conduct such meaningful days in their own curriculum so that our youths could grow up knowing about the environmental situation that we are living in.
