NIGERIAN WOMEN PLEDGE SUPPORT FOR ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION

by Alesandra Ibobo | 01-05-2018 19:51 recommendations 1

Environmental protection is the responsibility of every individual living on earth because every thing we do has either a negative or positive effect on our environment as well as ourselves.

In our society women have key roles to play as nation builders as most things kids learn are from their mothers and when it comes to some decision implementation, they ensures its being implemented in their homes. Hence, this event held on 27th of April by the AI Foundation NG to sensitize these women on their role in protecting their environment. They were introduced to modern ways using their office "the kitchen" and selecting wastes from the kitchen and proper waste disposal practices.

This was indeed impacting as a large turn-up of women was recorded that day. Hopefully they would return home and practice all what they learnt and also teach their kids and other family members

Hello Alesandra, I do agree with your words, especially at this point : 'In our society women have key roles to play as nation builders as most things kids learn are from their mothers'. Kids do learn a lot from their parents, and home is the first socialization place before kids go out to learn extracurricular perspectives from others.
Great to hear and see the participation of Nigerian pledge and movement of women toward climate change!

    Hello Alesandra!
Education of youth is a vital thing that should be considered over and over. It is our responsibility to be a good mentor for growing ups as they could take environmental issues more seriously! It is true that women as a mother do take a lot in teaching youths but it is actually a responsibility that every member of the society should be conscious of!
    Thanks for the report :)
