WHAT WE CAN DO FOR OUR EARTH

by Anishka Jha | 14-02-2018 19:33 recommendations 0

"Earth is the most beautiful creation of God. God made it beautiful, happy and green. God created Man to take care of his beautiful creations.

But Man in his quest to achieve maximum profit over exploited its natural resources that devoid our earth of all its beauty and greenery.  Human activities has brought our earth on the brink of disaster, vulnerable to natural calamities and increase of greenhouse gases. As a part of youth fraternity, our duty is to take small steps from our end to make big impact even though environmental awareness has increased manifold in comparison to our previous generation but the road ahead is still far-fetched. We need to reverse the effects on our environment.

There are umpteen number of ways through which we can sustain our environment. But mainly we should take simple steps in our home and be the change to make a remarkable difference.

 Go green

First of all we should think of making our earth green by conserving energy by

-Using bio-degradable products

-Reducing waste by giving away unwanted products to non-profit organization.

-Using reusable water bottles instead of buying plastic bottles every day. The production of one plastic bottle uses energy, emits toxins into the air, and uses more water to produce than actually put into the bottle for drinking

- Turning off lights when not in use. We should not use lights during day time unless extremely required.

-Using public transport instead of cars as it will lead to less carbon footprint.

- Organizing and participating in recycling programs where we can recycle discarded computers, batteries, electrical appliances, plastics and papers.

Increase Awareness amongst common people

We can play a pivotal role in increasing awareness amongst people who are educated yet ignorant about their actions that is affecting the sustainability of our environment. We can organize workshops, seminars, do role plays to apprise them of their role to conserve energy. As a youth I have organized such workshop and have noticed tremendous positive effect on the mindset of the common people.

Do not waste food

Wastage of food is a major contributor towards landfill that takes years to get decomposed. People have the habit of overfilling their plates and then throwing off the leftover in the dustbin. We should not over stuff our refrigerator as shelf life of perishable items are very less. Ultimately it goes into the garbage bin and then landfill. To conclude we should do economical buying that not only fits our house budget but also it saves the production of too much of waste.

These steps that we can take for our earth are very simple and small but in the long run it will add to a tumultuous impact towards sustaining the earth, after all drops of water make a big ocean.

Planet earth is the best creation of nature so we have to protect it conserve it preserve it ,,use it efficiently and pass it to our future generation. But we are using it as our own property we are exploiting it resource badly without thinking about it consequences on human being and earth. We dont have to waste energy it, we have to produce agricultural stuff using natural means and process.
