Sustainable building complex in Singapore

by | 10-08-2016 22:29 recommendations 0

Last week, I visited Singapore with my family for a short break. While I was there, I was really curious with Singapore's green policy since Singapore is a leading country in Asia.
One thing which took me by surprise was many places didn't do recycling. According to my Singaporean friend, recycling is a household choice.
However, I found an amazing building complex which was related to my research project on rainwater usage on sustainable buildings.
The complex is called, "Dawson Project". They are apartment buildings for residents. The buildings employ a rainwater harvesting strategy to irrigate above-ground landscape areas. Rainwater is collected from roofs and deposited in holding tanks to irrigate these area through an automated rip irrigation system. The project has been recognized and awarded its sustainability.
I hope I can spot such a green building system in many countries forward.

That is so great. I didnt know much about this country, but I was told that my brother entered the MDIS in Uzbekistan. I read this report to him and I think it was helpful:)

Alberta, it is quite astonishing that Singapore does not make recycling a duty to residents. However, the Dawson Project looks amazing. Hope you have a great time with your family and have a great day today!

No worries. I have saved and rotated. Great pictures and innovations. Singapore has done well, it is not easy to practice recycling at home level.

I am sorry for the pictures. I don't know why there are up in such an angle. The original files are all in up-righted shapes..
