Myanmar, a country which is rich in natural resources, has produced electricity from water, coal and other natural resources. Here, I will discuss a few industries in Myanmar that can damage the environment.
The first one is industry using coal in T-gypt which is located in Shan State. This has been established from 2000 and they extract coal and from this coal they again produce cement and electric current. Although cement is essential for our living and electric current is important for us, there are many drawbacks. Cause of using coal, local people have to inhale the smoke from coal which can damage our lungs. It can harm our agriculture because the waste products from coal flow through the farm and sometimes it again dissolves in soil. So we can?t produce crops and it harms not only local business but also harms our diet. So we decide to force stop this industry but there becomes noting change else.
The other is industry that produce lead in Ywar Ngan which is located in Shan State. This industry has been established in 2011. Although lead is essential for us, there are many effects on our environment. As they produce carelessly, the waste products from these industries flow through the farms which harm the agriculture. And as they produce harmful gases, there are many side effects on our health and cause of lead, it decrease the rate of production of crops.
The other is electric current producing industry using water resource. There are many industries that produce electric current using water resource. As these industries use water resource, we have to encounter many problems in using water as the water from industries can?t use again. So I hope to reduce the amount of industries using natural resources if we wish to recover the natural resources and these are a small description on industries using natural resources.

Phyo, thank you for uploading on time and sharing with others! I know Myanmar is going through times of big change. Two of my friends are staying in Yangon for business and they say everything is changing so rapidly. I think, especially in times like this, when the infrastructures are beginning to be installed and the new systems for running the country is sought for, long-term insight on the environmental values should be strongly thought after. Thanks for letting us know and all the best for what's to come!

Phyo, I once heard that water used to produce electricity may not be used again because they are heated way to high. Also, when they are released back to ocean or lakes, it could force marine species to death because they cannot live in waters with high temperatures. I hope science may develop in a way to promote both economy and environment protection. Thanks for reporting and have a great day!

Industries causing abuse of natural resources -is one of the most unsustainable practices. Also industries should not be allowed to set up near agricultural fields. Thanks for sharing.
