Earth Hour, is a world wide event anticipated every year by millions of people. It is amazing when you can see the power of people uniting to switch off one hour of electricity for Planet Earth.
Now, you might ask, Why? Will this make such a difference?? Well, I do say "Yes". Even though it looks like only some amount of electricity of saved by this campaign, it is a powerhouse of many other campaigns. The I Will if You Will Campaign was able to create a lot of promises among people over the past years. This Year, a new campaign has come from Earth Hour: "Earth Hour Blue". Change is Underway, we too can be a part of it. You can Back Projects, Causes, Donate, etc. Some issues that have come up on the site till now are: Bancas for Philippines, Stoves to protect Pandas, etc. There are many more to come. So, lets all be a part of the "BLUE". You can visit the website at the same Earth Hour website:

Thank you for sharing George! As you mentioned, the Earth Hour doesn't merely mean 1 hour electric save. It's the base of many creative environmental initiatives. :)

The people in our country participate in this project quite a lot too. (March)
Once, I looked out the window on the day of the project,
and almost all of the apartment lights were off!!
