Mexico is a megadiverse country , holds 10% of the world's diversity, a fascinating fact when you consider that only has 1% of the land surface of the planet ( Ceballos et al. , 2005) Mexico has a varied avifauna species including with 1070 where are birds belonging to the family of parrots that are represented by a total of 22 species, which , are under risk status ( IUCN Red List , 2010) and are listed in Appendices I and II CITES specimens are respectively as high marketing in Mexico and the world. Mexico, as part of the implementation of the CITES convention as a party , has taken action for the sustainable use of these species with reforms in environmental constitutionality group to ensure the conservation of these species and the sustainable development of the country . It is concluded that Mexican parrots should not under any circumstances be confined in cages for life, anywhere in the world should not be well seen confine an animal for life just for fun

It is an age old tradition to keep parrots in cages in India specially. You teach them speak & they respond. It feels good to us, but it is cruel to the poor bird. In cages they forget to live natural. Many times it happens that after keeping them in cages for long they fail to fly high, they loose their basic trait. We must keep them happy with nature, leave them alone.
    Thanks for pointing out Angel.

Yea, it seems like that we need to learn to let the nature as it is. It feels great that we have an ambassador in a mega-diverse country!
