Awareness Program for Earth Day celebration in a school |

To celebrate Earth Day 2014, I have gone to Municipal School, Mayiladuthurai to give awareness about global warming etc. Bringing awareness is the first step to any program's success. So that I have decided to give awareness speech before Earth day and I have gone to that school on 3/2/2014 and showed my animation movie, ppts insisting tree plantation etc.
I also gave them a Tunza Eco Generation pamphlets. I started my speech from the reasons of global warming. Then I asked answers from the students about what are the affects of global warming. They explained very well. Then I started my speech to give simple solutions to reduce it and the tips to follow in our day today life. After the awareness speech all students took oath to preserve earth by their day today life style like avoid plastic, consume less energy etc. Many students told me that they will plant saplings during special occasions. They even asked doubts to me about how to spread awareness quickly. I told them to spread awareness among students, because those children are only going to live tomorrow. Then we had a small discussion about global warming. All the students liked the proverb,"Nature is not one among us::We are one among nature". I try to convert the animation, a small video clip, about nature and publish it on youtube. After seeing the animation everyone understood because, it had no voice but only music. I made many small powerpoint presentations on various topics. Our world has been changed by science and technology. It is useful but it made pollution to our motherplanet. Human beings grew lazy on spending time on television, computers, phones and forgot their active life. These were some lines of my speech. I think they would change tomorrow's world green and clean. We are the only generation to reduce global warming.

Great initiative,I must say. If more people take up initiatives like this,then we may soon be on our way to achieving an environmentally safer earth. I'm impressed.
