Don't Use Your Car For A Day And Win Bicycle ! |

Dubai Municipality is giving away 100 sports bicycles to selected winners chosen form the people who have registered to take part in it's Car Free Day Initiative to be held on February 19. All interested can register online through the link http://carfreeday.dm.gov.ae/Register.aspx This event is restricted to the residents of UAE. It encourages citizens in using a public transport and help reduce the carbon emission caused by cars. The wonderful part of this initiative is that the municipality will be distributing 100 sport bicycles for the winners who registered online. Around 7,000 people are estimated to participate in the initiative. This is a great initiative by the Dubai Municipality to create awareness about the environmental conservation and will inspire it's citizens to reduce the carbon foot print by reducing the usage of cars. Dubai also aspires to observe a complete car-free day in the near future. I hope Dubai achieves this dream. |

That's really very encouraging. A unique way of promoting CAR FREE DAY. Campaigns like this would help in deeper penetration of the message of "say no to cars and use public transport /bicycle". Thanks for informing, Humaid.
