Knowledge Increases when you share it, It has been said time and again in our life time and many of us have realized it in different course of time. Lately I have internalized the same face and felt the pleasure of sharing the knowledge with my friends and other members of Nepali Youth at GUTHI during the program "Tunza Eco Generation-Why and how?"
Being an Ambassador for almost a year now, I came across many wonder experience and mind boggling competition that Tunza Eco generation organizes monthly, which I could not resist from sharing. Though proposed very Early I could organize the program only on January, 2014 due some constrains from my side and ongoing situation and schedule issues with the participants. Nonetheless the program with merely 15 participants was a successful program where exchange of ideas took place more/
what is Tunza Eco Gen? asked Bimala Gurung, a student from SchEMS and also a member of NYG. "Tunza Eco Gen is a platform that proliferates environmentalism in you,"I replied. honestly I did not have a better answer because so far I have experienced that Tunza is one of the best medium from where people can get knowledge on environment, think creatively to protect environment and makes anyone internalize that 'WE ARE A PART OF ENVIRONMENT AND WE OURSELVES ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ITS SUSTAINABILITY!' and I suppose that is internalizing environmentalism.
But the crucial is how?? Besides the regular question of opening an account and so forth I was tempted to share the most vital part of the TUNZA ECO Gen and its identity- QUALITY. My humble request to all the participant was to consider quality of the articles and the comments that they post/ Whats the use of posting copied articles in your name and getting maximum number of likes and less valued comments. It is just occupancy of the space in the website but not in your mind, that is definitely not going to help you enhance your knowledge. "Since Tunza is also looking to enhance writing capability among youth on environmental issues, try writing in your own words and try out different styles, you never know when you will be appreciated," I suggested. But hats not the ned to the sea of information in the TUNZA eco gen, besides reading the articles posted by ambassadors and other members there are also other discussion forums where one can present their logic/argument and also the games that one can enjoy and gain knowledge at the same time. The website of Tunza eco gen, can be used as resource to enhance your environmental knowledge and also we can directly add information in this forum. it is the common platform which can help us explore ourselves and knowledge. "This is a complete package of sharing and caring," I concluded.
But the question still remained why?? I simply commented- To enhance knowledge on Environment, build global network and enhance skills to express ideas and opinions on environment.
The participants were convinced and committed in contributing in the forum.

We share the same concern when it comes to the quality of articles and comments! I hope members utilize this space for more iINTELLIGENT (not necessarily academic) discussions and exchange of views not just copying and pasting a news article and posting comments to increase one's chances of winning the prize.

Commitment & convincing attitude is a must to care for environment.

This is a very valid point. Copy paste will rather deter a person from growing in the long run. All the time plagiarism will be on the mind. We all must focus on making earth a better place to survive. We have just 1 planet to live & die for.

very well said Pratap...The quality of articles should be such that it carry something for the others...simply copy paste will degrade the good intention of this unique plarform

Well said, Pratap. Actually all of us can exactly 'Feel' whether an article is written just to gather some points or not almost 100% correctly. Uploading poor quality articles is harmful for both of him/herself and other Eco-generation members.

Yes, I have seen you advocating the quality before quantity and I feel the same. Fortunately, Tunza Eco generation has been enforcing the same lately. Thanks for sharing this piece of article. I think I feel the same of so much of what you said. And "Tunza Eco Gen is a platform that proliferates environmentalism in you" well said.
