Street Lights switched on in Daytime |

In continuation of my efforts to carry on good environmental practices I regularly write to Leading UAE National newspaper ?Gulf News?. On this forum I would like to share one of my reports published few weeks ago. I noticed that in the area opposite my house in Sharjah, UAE the street lights were kept on in the daytime also. This is sheer wastage of a resource & a definite anti-environment practice. I am happy to note that after publication of my report the authorities swung into action & now the street lights are switched – Off in day time. I would like to thank the Sharjah Electricity & Water authority for their prompt action. |
