When the entire UAE is celebrating it's 42nd National Day and also the recent victory of Dubai Expo2020, we the members of youth group "Students for the Earth"(SFE) took this opportunity to spread awareness about  the need for environment conservation. All of us must realise that if we don't act today to preserve our nature & environment , it will be too late and our future generations won't be able to celebrate such occassions . Infact they wont be able to celebrate anything , it would be difficult for them to even breathe and survive as by then the air would be polluted , food would be scarce , greenery would have almost vanished and many more horrible consequences.


We were more than happy to confirm participating in "Clean Up the World" , an annual campaign by Dubai municipality. It was yesterday. Though it was our weekend here but none of us was cribbing or lazy to come for the campaign.



All the members were full of zeal to clean up the designated place. We were 25 members of SFE(students volunteers and parents/adult volunteers). We collected heap of trash . This Clean up was symbolic to emphasise the importance of keeping our environment clean. Towards the end , we spoke to Dubai Municipality workers and promised them that we would not litter our surroundings and we would reduce , reuse and recycle as much as possible.



Then we all sang UAE National Anthem with pride , holding UAE Flags in our hand .  I had specially bought some items like  shirt , jacket , nice long cap , bracelet etc of the colours of UAE Flag and wore it yesterday. Like that , other members had also come wearing clothes of the colours inspired by the UAE Flag . We all cheered and screamed with joy "Mabrook (Arabic word for Congratulations ) Dubai for Expo2020".


As "Team Leader-Shj" for "Students for the Earth" , I requested each of the members to say 2-3 lines on UAE , what each of us like about UAE or has to say about UAE. While we were doing all this , it caught attention of National TV Channel "Dubai One " and they shot us.


It was an amazing event.


We just hoped that all of us carried back home the message that


It?s upon us what type of future we want for the Future generations,For our Children?Save Environment and let your Children Enjoy it too.
