Your Cartons, My Classroom

Recently on 16 April, I attended launching of Project Search's V Phase.  

The Educating Youth for Sustainable Development (EYSD) Division and Tetra Pak India initiated Project SEARCH (Sensitization, Education and Awareness on Recycling for a Cleaner Habitat) in 2009 on recycling and active citizenship.

This is an initiative started by Tetra Pak and TERI to recycle empty Tetra Pak cartons into school furniture for under-privileged students across India. The event celebrates the collection, recycling & awareness efforts that have been taking place throughout the year and will take place in Delhi on 21 April 2013. Our participation can help provide chairs and study desks to students from six different schools and this will enable a better environment for these young kids to study.

I really appreciate this step and me and my friends have collected nearly 43 Kg cartons!
