Thanks God. Finally, my holiday has came. It has been almost two months I didnt post any articles about the environment. My activities in study and exams at campus and also have to do all lab works at  various places that far away from my home (because I do from the Department of Geology, I am often out of town to conduct field survey) make me rarely to interact with the internet at the computer. Gomen (sorry) :(

On 29-30 September 2012 (4 months ago) I attended interesting event, called Gabung Mulung Tidung(GMT). As the name implies, main activity of GMT itself is picking up (mulung in bahasa) trash along the Tidung Island . But do not think that picking up trash seems like a poor job. In here, we do it in a fun way and even accompanied by music. So, you could picking up trash and also  listen to music a dancing.

But why should be in Tidung Island? Because Tidung island is a small island that has very enchanting natural beauty, but because of many tourists who come here are not responsible, then this island is filled with a lot of garbage. So, we chose this island as a destination  to do cleanup operation (and we also wanted to enjoy the natural beauty of this island :D )

We departed from Jakarta to Tidung at 07:00 (Jakarta Time). This event lasted for 2 days on Tidung Island. Our activity is not only picking up trash, but there are also interesting games such as rope war, flashmob, and other fun games. After we did all activities and we have enjoyed the atmosphere of Tidung Island, we went back to Jakarta the next day and arrived at 17:00 Jakarta time. Truly a nice experience!
