World Bank gets focus on Environment |
---|
Surabaya, Indonesia - In Airlangga University, there was a national seminar talking about World Bank activities with Dr. Hekinus Manao - the executive director of World Bank. Many university students got enthusiastic to attend this special event.
Dr. Hekinus Manao who is also the Indonesian citizen talked a lot about the opportunities for Indonesian people to cooperate with World Bank itself. One of the interesting parts was about the World Bank concern in environmental field. World Bank would like to support the funding for environmental activities all over the world, especially from developing countries. But of course, the process would take time because World Bank will evaluate all the proposals carefully. This seminar gave us a good lesson: if we want to make environmental movements, dont only think about big event that will cost a lot of funding. Start from the easy and simple movement until it can reach big impacts. Soon, people will support your next program. Are you ready to make green movement? |

These days environmental issues are getting more importance in terms of economy.
We can see except renewable energy, eco-friendly product, every consumer market has changed into red ocean.
So, I think it is very natural that World Bank observe environmental issues closely.
Thank you for the article~~
