Nowadays I am reading a book, called "The Worst Hard Times" by Timothy Egan.
The book is portraying the biggest dust storm happened on April 4, 1935, which covered five states and disfigured the land and communities. The great dust storm was the result of reckless, market-driving farming according to the author.
So far, the book gives me a chill because it reminds me of the current desertification over the world and how man-made disaster could be fatal to the nature.
We do not know the big picture of the coming future from our current doings which are pretty pretty scary.
I recommend the book for your spare time reading.
