I am from the small holder farming family, I grew up working and seeing my parents working in the field. So the smell of soil amuses me. The air around me breathes my dream of becoming a successful plant doctor with pathology as major to grow healthy food to feed the hungry population out there, help them tackle their farm diseases problem with their own indigenous technical knowledge. Being engaged in practical based education as per per the syallbus. I am preparing myself to tackle with possible problems that I may encounter in farmer's field during my visit in coming days. There is one crises that is spreading all across the world i.e food insecurity and hunger. A plant pathologist needs an understanding of the organisms and agents that cause disease as well as an understanding of how plants grow and are affected by disease. In their work, plant pathologists cooperate with plant breeders and crop management, insect, and weed specialists in developing integrated, environmentally sound approaches to managing crops and their pests.Plant Pathologists -Preserve the environment -Help grow healthy crops -Ensure an adequate food supply -Maintain the beauty of ornamental plants -Invent new ways to control plant diseases -Have rewarding professional careers -Enjoy lifelong learning and world travel -Unravel the mysteries of plant diseas Being engaged in Tunza as well I am relating my field agriculture and environment with impact of climate change on them. I have been doing awareness campaigns in schools to ignite young minds on Environment and climate change issues via lectures, workshops, exhibitions, posters, presentations and simulations. Last year our team has also successfully hosted plant health camp and farmers were really so satisfied with the assistance in identifying their crop disease. This year too I along with my team are planning to conduct plant health camp 2022 soon in our local government. I dream to be a successful plant doctor in future and aspire to work for the betterment of the society and assist to produce more disease free crops to feed the growing number of populations. Here are some of the sample of plant disease that I had succeed to isolate.
