About 20 countries expressed a desire to celebrate it, so the holiday received the status of an international one.

Hello! So today I'm gonna talk about international day of energy saving. Many of us know that energy requires a lot of sources and sustainable usage of it. So 11 of november we celebrated this date and now i'm going to tell how:

The purpose of the International day of energy saving is to draw the attention of the authorities and the public to the rational use of resources and the development of renewable energy sources. The issue of energy saving is very important. Saving energy can reduce environmental pollution, as well as relieve the burden on the economy.

The simplest energy saving measures are available to everyone and can be applied virtually everywhere in everyday life. Therefore, on the international day of energy saving, events are held to remind you of the importance of saving energy. People are informed about energy saving methods and existing renewable energy sources.

History of this date in Kazakhstan.
It was announced at the 2008 annual meeting of participants of the international educational project for schoolchildren on climate change, energy and the environment SPARE, a PROJECT initiated in 1996 by the Norwegian society for nature conservation. This holiday immediately received the status of an international one, as about 20 countries, including Kazakhstan, wanted to take part in it.

Over the past seven years, Kazakhstan has been created from scratch an industry of energy saving legislation built state policy of energy saving and increase of energy efficiency, we have adopted comprehensive measures including the concept of transition of Kazakhstan to "green economy". To date, we are getting the first results of our activities in this area. In 2016, the energy intensity of the economy of our Republic was reduced by 6.5%.

It is no secret that there are people for whom energy conservation, accounting and efficient use of energy is an important daily work for the benefit of the economy and the environment of our country. International energy saving day is a professional holiday!

    Hello Diana
    It's your SJ mentor.

    Warm greetings from Korea!
Thank you for sharing your informative report regarding the international day of Energy Saving.
It is surprising that the day is originated from the school project.
The easiest way for protecting earth is saving energy in daily lives such as turning the light off, unplug when not used, etc.
We should exert to save the energy which directly connects to the use of fossil fuels.
Hope things are fine with you.
    Green cheers!

    Best regards,
    SJ mentor.

    Hello Diana,
    this is your mentor WooJoo.

    Warm greetings from South Korea.
Thank you for sharing your report about day of saving energy.
It is sad that this international day is not celebrated in South Korea.
But fortunately, we celebrate 'Day of pedestrian' on the same date,
to encourage people to walk, instead of driving cars, and increase their awareness of city pollution.
Saving energy is very important for sustainable development, due to limited resources.
I wonder how you participated for celebrating the day!

    Keep sharing

    Regards,
    WooJoo
