By 2050, the way the global population is increasing we will not have enough food to feed the growing population and in order to feed those population global food production must increase 70% by 2050 to meet the growing Need. Agriculture is only the key to alleviate the global food crises, and we need to increase the production, but there is the limitation in production as agriculture faces natural resources constraint such as land, water, energy which are limited. By 2030 food demands will requires another 200 million more hectares of land which is the size of canada and US combined. On one hand we need to increase production and on other hand our resources are limited. This says that we probably are limited to increase production. So, for the alternative to enhance global food security, preserving the produced crops to nourish the people through the management of post harvest loss will be solution for this challenge as around 30-40% loss occurs during post harvesting and by implementation of post harvest loss management technology we can achieve the theme of world food day 2020 as well as can feed 5-10% extra population( FAO, 2011). This will also be the solution for sustainable future and will sure be an alternative solution to achieve 12 Sustainable Development Goal by 2030.
On the occasion of world food day 2020 on theme "Grow Nourish and sustain" i had got an opportunity for poster presentation and it was my very first experience on designing poster and i am so glad to share with you all that i had been selected as the top three poster presenter and my idea of managing post harvest loss seems to be applicable in the context of the developing Nation like Nepal.

Hello Sandhya,
this is your mentor WooJoo.
Warm greetings from South Korea.
Thank you for sharing your experience with us.
The poster looks amazing and quite informative!
But I can't see the first one.
They say that the majority of today's food production is from small farms, instead of industrial ones.
Furthermore, small farms provide chances to enhance biodiversity and preserve limited resources.
So I think constructing small city farms, in which many citizens can share the place and food, would be beneficial too.
I am glad that your poster was selected as the top three!
The information that you are going to give representing through poster is really appreciative
keep sharing
warm regards ,
Shobha

Thanks for sharing. I totally agree that in future people may be deficient in food. Therefore it is very important to preserve food production and reduce the amount of waste food.
