Hello guys, this is my second report as an ambassador, hope you enjoy it!
Recent global warming seems to be dramatic a has influenced to the ecosystem on different countries on the world, and Korea is not an exception. In this report, I emphasize the change in forest ecosystem due to climate change in Korea. According to KMA, Korea's summer in 2000s started on 27/05, it was 15 days earlier than summer in1950s, not only that, the temperature was 20 Celsius higher, as the result, days of winter is shorten. Hence, the ecosystem in Korea is highly under negative effect. Changes in phonology of biota, species distribution range shift and catastrophic climate disasters due to recent global warming have been observed during the last century. Korean forests located mainly in the temperate zone also have been experienced climate change impacts including shifting og leafing and flowering phonology, changes in natural disasters and forest productivity. However, little research has been conducted on forest ecosystems in Korea which is essential to assess the impact and extent of adaption. Also there is a shortage in basic long-term data of forest ecosystem processes. Careful data collection and ecological process modeling should be focused on charactistic Korean forest ecosystems which are largely complex terrain that might have hindered research activities. An integrative ecosystem study which covers forest dynamics, biological diversity, water and carbon flux and cycles in a forest ecosystem and spatial and temporal dynamics modeling is introduced. Global warming effects on Korea forest ecosystems are reviewed. Forestry activity and the importance of forest ecosystems as a dynamic carbon reservoir are discussed. Forest management optionsand challenges for future research, impact assessment, and preparation of mitigating measures in Korea are proposed. Sakura is one of the most popular flower in Korea, in order to make this tree bloom, we need 0-5 Celsius degree, however, as I have mentioned, winter in Korea is shorten, therefore, this kind of tree is harder to bloom in Korea. Not oly that, lynx, which is the popular animal in Korea, is indangered. Lynx is only able to live in winter due to its fur, however, under the negative imapct of climate change, this kin of anmal is no longer living.

Hello Nhu!
It's your SJ mentor.
Thank you for sharing your thematic report about the ongoing phenomena in Korea due to climate change.
Native plants are changing as you mentioned.
But there are less researches conducted regarding ecosystems in Korea.
In these days, development thoughtless for the environment is executed.
People are chipping away at mountains to install solar panel.
Most of all, conservation of nature is being emphasized.
Hope things are fine with you.
I appreciate your devotion to Eco Generation.
Sincerely,
SJ mentor.

Hello Nhu,
this is your mentor WooJoo.
Thank you for writing a thematic report about ecosystem changes in South Korea.
Many things have changed since global warming started.
South Korea used to have beautiful 4 distinct seasons,
but now we have very short Spring and Autumn, and very long Summer and Winter.
This is affecting the flora and fauna, and the forests too.
Blooming season has changed, and more animals are in danger of extinction.
Thank you once again.
Best regards,
WooJoo
