Rwanda is a landlocked country with a moderate climate and relatively high rainfall. Climate change is expected to result in increased temperatures, intensified rainfall, and prolonged dry seasons. And in a rapidly changing environment, the ecosystem will bear its own consequences imposed by the change in climate. And what is the situation with Rwanda?
In Rwanda, this year we had a prolonged dry season that after it was about to get to an end, it gave out a powerful rainfall as in revenge for all the time it has missed. This prolonged dry season couldn't hesitate about drying any kind of crop that was still living in a good condition by then. The season couldn't hesitate destroying the roads and fill it not only with dust but also dust flour, it may seem somehow funny but none could still move on foot unless he/she is in a tarmac road. Air pollution seemed to be at its tipping point by then, since all you could see up in the sky was a layer of the dust moving freely. However this not only caused this air pollution but also it increased the cases of air-borne diseases and hence this became somehow tough for many residents to distinguish the flu caused from the air pollution by the covid-19. Though the long dry season was there, there finally came the rain that came to avenge for the people and the ecosystem hence destroying and minimizing all hose risks provoked by the long sunshine. People couldn't wait to welcome the rainfall even though it seemed big and hard but their eagerness to feel the same condition by that couldn't allow them. Animals started grazing normally. Grass finally became green that up to date Rwanda is regaining it's green admirable scenario. Water lands started providing clean and plenty of water that citizens couldn't feel or remember the condition they were in. The rainy season coming as in much of a blessing to the whole ecosystem. They started moving even to the farms that this was an admirable condition to the citizens of Rwanda. ![]() Children at the farm. https://www.climatelinks.org/countries/rwanda I can not forget to mention that due to climate change, this fall seems to not be cold as it usually did even though the community is now freshened. Climate change this year impacted Rwanda socially, physically and economically since farmers couldn't raise their living in that condition. And Climate change in partnership with Covid-19 could have done more harm but thanks to the government of Rwanda for there forever support towards their citizens and the community. But its still all on us to take care of our planet and overcome all these devastating changes hence performing our mission to hand in this world to the next generation. Thank you, Greetings from Rwanda... Green cheers!!

Hello Kevin!
It's your SJ mentor.
Thank you for sharing result of Climate change in Rwanda.
Many things are altering due to climate change.
For human beings to prosper, farmers should grow an abundance of food for people to eat.
Accessing water effectively such as making dams or by seawater resource conversion is being crucial.
I will root for you the whole time.
Best regards,
SJ mentor.

Hello Kevin,
this is your mentor Woojoo.
Warm greetings from South Korea.
I'm very glad to hear that the dry seasons ended thanks to the recent rain.
In case of South Korea, this summer we experienced huge impacting flooding that destroyed many people's home and agricultural area.
Here, the weather is also bit warmer than the past years.
I totally agree that we have to take care of our planet and overcome all these devastating changes.
Thank you for your contribution to Tunza community.
Best regards,
WooJoo
