I had conducted a campaign “Small Act Great Impact” during my Previous term. with the purpose to aware people about how our small act can cause great impact in the society and environment. This campaign focused on both how our small act is deteriorating the environment and how our small act can create a great impact to save our environment. Getting inspired from the campaign, Hemanth Abhiram, a 12 years child studying at school wanted to participated in the campaign and share his activities to beat plastic pollution via a poem. Title of the poem: Say No to Plastic Eating Plastic made animals to die, Seeing plastic made nature to cry. Our mother earth is calling us- For the help, As our mother was is in a trouble. Our mother earth has done a lot for us, But in return what we gave...? Now its our turn to be a hero to help Our mother from a trouble. I want to be a hero To protect my mother earth Then What about you? Come and Join your hand with me… Be a real hero, not by fighting Saving the planet, Killing the plastic, As they bring your health from Riches to rags. If you won’t kill the plastic, Plastic will surely kill you…! Make our earth green and blue, If you want to not die from plastic. Even if you are dead- your body will degrade. Send off plastic bags and welcome paper bags. If you send off plastic bags and welcome plastic bags, If you don’t send off the plastic bags now, Plastic bag will give living beings a send off Handle with care, plastic is every where If you are careless Plastic will make liveless I want to be a hero To protect my mother earth Then What about you? Come and Join your hand with me… It is very necessary for the younger generation to be aware about the environment and take action for the planet. I feel glad to see children getting inspired and working to save the planet. Our small acts can create a great impact and together we can bring the change. |

First of all, I really like the name of the campaign. Small acts, Great Impact! Many people are feeling pressured that they have to do special things to change the world and save the environment. However, it's important that one does something to see the change.
