Calculating the environmental cost of one of human activities During many occasions environmentalists talk about environmental impacts without definite statistics. This is where environmental statistics come in. environment statistics are statistics that describe the state and trends of the environment, covering the media of the natural environment, the biota within the media, and human settlements. The benefits of a clean and healthy environment cannot be underestimated. The capacity of the environment to supply us with clean air, water and other resources has been affected by human activities. According to Air Pollution and Climate Secretariat, the social cost of carbon emissions by the US government stands at $21 in 2010. In 2013, the figure rose to $37 per ton of carbon dioxide produced. The figure rose by $16 and this shows the ever rising levels of carbon dioxide in the environment. What should make us worried is the fact that the figures were a conservative estimate. A study led by UC San Diego¡¯s Katherine Ricke found that the global social cost of carbon emissions was between $177 and $805 per ton. The study put America carbon emission cost to be $50 per ton and that of India at $90. The statistics put America and India to be the most culpability for climate change as opposed to the myths that less developed countries are vulnerable to impacts of climate change. These governments should be held responsible and be pressured to abide by the Paris Agreement. We should not allow the future generations to pay for the costs of climate change by limiting carbon dioxide emissions to the environment.

Hi Okoth Okoth, this is a mentor Sang Su Lee.
Thank you for researching the social cost that carbon emission incurs. It would be better if the details of statistics are included in the text. For example, why does this cost come out? Environmental cost? Recycling cost? Energy cost? Economic cost? Etc. There might be many factors affecting when one calculates the social cost and gives the value of $32 in 2013. In addition, please add the source that you take the data from.
Thank you for your article ~!

Hello Okoth, this is mentor Taehyun!
Thank you for your article on various environmental costs! Of course, this specific environmental cost figure for carbon emissions is good, but I think it would have been even more interesting and useful if you read the data you researched in more detail and then write down the details of how these environmental costs were calculated! However, it was good to introduce interesting content!
Thank you for the report!
Green cheers!
