[Thematic report] Chemicals and ozone layer |

Hey, everyone! This month, our mentor told us to do the report about the "Chemical Product(human made or naturally produced) that affects the environment positively or negatively." , and I choose to do a link to my free report that I had talk about the depletion of ozone layer, so in this report I will introduce to you the chemicals that impact in the ozone depletion. The chemicals that impact in the ozone layer have their production and importion controlled by the Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer (the Montreal Protocol). Some of there are: - chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) and hydrochlorofluorocarbons (HCFCs): used in refrigerators and air conditioners; - halons and hydrochlorofluorocarbons (HCFCs): are used in fire extinguishers; - methyl bromide (CH3Br): is used to fumigation the soil; - and the most famous of all is the chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) and hydrochlorofluorocarbons (HCFCs) there are present in the aerosol propellants. These substances are all used by all the humans in planet in day by day, but unfortunatelly the researchers didn't yet find substitutes for the chemicals, some of them are extremelly efective, like the methy bromide used in the soils. So, is responsability of all of us to use the products that contains the chemicals with conscience and thinking in the planet and how we can find solutions that are eco friendly until the researschers find soluions. Thank you for the report about the chemicals which are related to ozone layer destruction! It was great to know all of those chemicals, really helpful! The most famous chemical, CFC is actually heavily restricted all around the world because of the Montreal Protocol on Substances That Deplete the Ozone Layer. So, it is now recovering quite rapidly. Scientist usually says that the ozone layer will recover completely in the next 30 years. So, let's wait and keep watching on the environment!

Hi Giulia Tavares Madeira Pinto, this is a mentor Sang Su Lee.
Ozone depletion is a serious problem. Ozone prevents harmful lights, for example ultraviolet light, to reach the earth. Harmful rays can cause serious skin damages to living organisms. If you include how the usage of CFC destroys Ozone layer and why this is dangerous to the environment, this report would be better.

Ozone layer is the protection shield that prevents the entrance of harmful uv-rays coming to the earth.But nowadays ,ozone layer depletion has been observed as one of the major problem threatening the whole environment..So, timely actions are to be taken..
