“The battle is not only of science but also of conscience”. The novel corona virus pandemic has pushed the worlds towards uncannily realized globalization. How we will go through this pandemic is still unknown and unclear while some of the medico adds that if the corona virus arrives and spreads, in Nepal then the area of gravity it creates wouldn’t be bearable. Still we have no any certain plans and policies, everyone is perplexed that what we have to do in the face of this challenge, the condition of Nepal and Nepalese couldn’t be imagined if this virus arrives in Nepal. Nepal being developing country whose economy relies on agriculture and tourism has been drastically affected by this pandemic. Nepal trade has abruptly fallen since a month, for a country like Nepal it not a good sign, the Nepal government has stopped on arrival visas to tourists from all over the countries, ended mountaineering expeditions, Everest acents, stopped labor permits, lockdown situation for a week which has brought a huge blow to the tourism and aviation sectors. The handicraft, garments are stocked now, the country whose economy is less now decreasing so abruptly. According to recent report by Asian Development Bank, it has projected that country’s economy could lose from $12.12 million to $36.78 million depending upon the extent of the pandemic. 15000 more people will become unemployed if it spread in Nepal which is the biggest and alarming challenge for Nepal. Addition to this Nepal has somewhat taken various preventative measures previously but it cant be long term for such a country which has a open border, where there lack the preventative hospitals sophisticated room for isolation to much people if the virus spread more. The country is lock downed for more than a week to reduce the spread of the virus. Altogether 2 cases has been found here but the threat is still rising. When I went through newspaper one senior medico has explained that we don’t even posses a sufficient kits for test, the threat is rising day by day, the life has become such a boring schedule scrolling, surfing google with the hope when the antidote will be discovered for us for a country like ours? The condition of starvation and scarcity is going to rise soon. Each time when I ring call to relative who are far abroad from us, my hand and voice shiver for some period. Every morning when I scroll the news of Italy and other nation my heart stunned. I could just do is pray from here, pray for humanity and pray for the universe. To sum up, the pandemic is shared fate of humanity, which have to be tackled locally individually and globally. COVID 19 is a threat like an illness. Yet the beurocrats, medical structures and fraternities hasn’t issued any policies how they will tackle this pandemic if it spreads in Nepal. When all the question arises then a song of Bob Dylan revokes me, ’’the answer my friend is blowing in the wind” means you must have to prepare yourself in such a way you had never prepared yourself before. Last but not the least I would like to pray pashupatinath for the quick recovery for all the affected one and heal all the wounds that COVID 19 has given to the humanity. |

As you mentioned, what is more fearful than pandemic is infodemic. Many people are feared in extreme level so they are hoarding many stuffs at their houses. However, they should know that being in panic is not the solution to tackle this issue. If we prepare how to confront this issue, we will conquer this disease. Humanities are great~.
