[Free Report] How COVID-19 may affect the climate |

The recent emergence of a virus - namely COVID-19 - has placed many regions in lockdown around the world. In this article, I will be exploring a relationship that coexists between the corona virus and climate change. Historically, there have been instances in which carbon pollution globally has decreased, as a direct result of economic shocks.
At first glance, it may seem as though the corona virus leads to a reduction in climate change. However, if the corona virus escalates to a worldwide pandemic, an economic recession would likely follow it. An economic recession would reduce monetary funds allocated towards climate conservation attempts. Additionally, the success of the Paris Agreement - an agreement under the United Nations - has been interrupted by COVID-19. Crucial negotiations that have been scheduled were cancelled following the outbreak. Furthermore, the corona virus may divert the public's attention from climate change, depressing political will at important moments. Although the corona virus is currently affecting more than the climate of our world, it is essential that we understand the consequences that come about as a result of the virus. |

Hi Jaewon Chang, this is Sang Su Lee.
Corona virus is indeed deadly. As the result, many factories have closed and people are focusing to prevent disease from spreading because it is always important to deal with imminent problems. I agree with your conclusion that we must not forget climate change problem though. It will soon be discussed after this incident hopefully.
Thank you for your article.

Hello Jaewon, Greeting from your mentor Taehyun.
Thank you for the insightful report. I didn't know COVID-19 can affect climate. But after I read your report, your opinion convinced me. COVID-19 stopped the world economy. In the mainland of China, especially region Hubei, factories are closed because of disease. That causes decreases in greenhouse gases which were emitted from the factory. I also surprised that COVID-19 can make people neglect the climate change problem. That is serious!
Thank you for writing!
Green cheers!
