Survey on Use of Pesticides |

Pesticides have been used widely in the field of Agriculture. Alhough, there are many effects of pesticides in human health and environment, there is still hapazard use of pesticides. So, I conducted an Survey as Tunza EcoGeneration Regional Ambassador with more than 20 people. The survey was conducted visiting each household and with a questionnaire in the mobile survey application along with awaring each household about use, impact and alternative of pesticides.
The result found was more than 80% people are using pesticides and more than 60% of them weren't aware about the doses and impacts of pesticides. There are alternatives of pesticides from Integrated Pest management, natural predators, along with botanicals and plant essential oil. I also awared farmers about the impacts of pesticides on environment and human health encouraging them to adapt to more eco friendly methods.

You even got a data for yourself I think it's amazing.
It seems like you did both quantitative and qualitative research it sure must have provided you with some insights!
I think it's great that you always try to take a step towards the very micro-level of agents the individuals of the local communities. Even if the government lays out some great projects and plans, if the everyday practice by individuals don't change, it will be meaningless!

Thank you so much for your report that has always been creating awareness among the people.. Pesticide of course do have a negative impact on our environment but poor illiterate farmers are unaware about it and it's right doses .I think your survey was interesting and yes informative as well to all those farmers..

It's good to see your another great environmental actions!
I'm surprised by the face that high percentage of people were not aware of the hazardous effects of pesticides. Your information might have been big help to them, and it must be another step toward the reduction of use of pesticides.

Pesticides result in bio-accumulation,which as for the result accumulates in the adipose tissue of the living beings resulting in the mutation and also other diseases.

Pesticides are the most harmful chemicals that affect plant lives as well as human beings .Biopesticides are the one that can be used instead of pesticides that also sustain the environment.
