Everybody knows¡¦no, everybody should know; becoming a vegetarian does not mean giving up your enjoyment of food. In fact, it leaves quite an enjoyable aftertastes: a good conscience. Whoever eats a lot of conventional meat emits nearly twice as much CO2 per year compared to someone who chooses to eat mostly vegetarian and ecological foods! What is Meatless Monday? An international movement to help people reduce their meat consumption by 15% to improve personal health and health of the planet. Why Meatless? On average, Americans consumes 8 ounces of meat per day- 45% more than the USDA recommends. Going meatless once a week can reduce the risk of chronic preventable conditions and can also help limit the carbon footprint and save precious resources like fresh water and fossil fuel. One day without meat saves as much greenhouse gases as one day without a car driving. Key Benefits of Meatless Monday- For Your Health- It reduces heart disease, limit cancer risk, fight diabetes, curb obesity and improves our diet in general. For Your Wallet- Adopting Meatless Monday can cut weekly budgets and curb healthcare spending. For Our Planet- According to a report by UN, meat industry generates nearly one-fifth of the man-made greenhouse gas emissions that accelerate climate change so by adopting Meatless Mondays we can reduce our carbon footprints and not only this we can also minimize water usage and reduce fuel dependency. There are so many other benefits of Meatless Monday and there are so many reasons to participate, whether you want to help the environment or are considering your health. We all should adopt such habits in our lifestyle at least once or twice in a week. |

Hello Dharmendra
I have to agree with the advantages of joining in Meatless day, and that it's an inevitable day toward sustainable development and preserving the environment. I see no reason in not participating in this event, since it is quite easy to join, and I can get many economical, environmental, and healthy benefits. I will try to join this event for rest of my life!
Thank you for the great report.

Hey Dharmendra!
It's Lisa your mentor.
Your report reminds me of this worldwide NGO named 'Meat-free Monday'. The organization basically has the very mission that you have put for your article to decrease the overall meat consumption of mankind. Not only excessive consumption of meat causes environmental problems but they are the causes of major modern-day diseases as well. For our health and for our earth, the organization promotes the idea that we should at least for one day a week adopt a vegetarian diet.
I think that your report explains and supports this organization and yes, we should definitely try to be a little more vegetarian than we are now because we are indeed overtly cardiovascular!
